Rick Ranous is a proven
professional with more than twenty three years of comprehensive
human resources management experience in manufacturing,
telecommunications, utilities and high tech industries.
His expertise was developed while serving in lead roles
from the front line to the executive boardroom, earlier
obtaining the coveted HR Manager position for Coleco
Industries' northern operations when Time magazine was
showcasing them as the fastest growing company in the
country. He subsequently secured the senior position
of Regional Director of Human Resources for both GTE
and Citizens Telecom, as well as, Corporate Director
of Administration for Intermagnetics General Corporation
whose stock price grew more than threefold during his
tenure.
Rick is an enthusiastic,
creative, hands-on executive with the highest degree
of personal integrity who considers the human factor
while effectively developing and administering necessary
processes and procedures. He possesses superior interpersonal
and communications skills along with a robust sense
of humor. A knowledgeable business partner, he demonstrates

Having earned a B.S. in
Industrial Relations in 1978 and certification as a
Human Resources Professional in 1993, he has managed
all aspects of the HR function, often in highly demanding,
fast paced environments. He has direct experience with
all functional areas listed above along with coaching
of management employees, application of federal and
state laws and regulations, and aiding in the formation
of participative, strongly collaborative environments.
As a seasoned HR generalist his background is extremely
diverse including active involvement in the demanding
human resources activities associated with exponential
growth, mergers, acquisitions, expansion & reduction
of work forces and culture and organizational changes
at several companies.
He has designed, developed
and implemented programs for improved performance management,
leadership development, recruitment, retention, orientation
and positive employee relations. He developed and/or
updated numerous employee policies and procedures, created
handbooks, employee evaluation systems, succession plans,
restructuring processes and organizational assessments.
He has lead efforts to overhaul complete benefits, compensation
and safety programs. A skilled problem solver, he has
also negotiated over twenty cost effective and mutually
satisfactory labor agreements without job actions and
has favorably reduced significant, potentially high
cost, grievance loads by 75%- 100%.
